Porto
Emily and I went on a wee city-break trip to Porto in March. I shot a roll of Portra 160 through my trusty Minolta 404si Dynax while I was there. I’m not entirely sure why, but the film had a bit of a green/turquoise hue to it as it came out the scanner (Epson V600), so I had to do quite a heavy colour-correction job on lightroom with these shots. This is probably not the best roll of film I’ve ever shot, but there were a few shots that came out pretty well in there.
As I think it comes across in this gallery, the two big things that I was excited to see in Porto were the multi-level bridge and the tiled houses, both of which I think are beautiful (in quite different ways). I would say also that I think the greeny tones of the film still come through a little, kind of reminding me of the look of Lomography Metropolis. I wonder if shooting a low ISO film in overcast weather might have been a part of that? Not sure. Anyway these are my 5 favourite shots from the trip:
